Since the launch of the national 14th “Five-Year Plan", CR Enterprise has staunchly executed national and CR Group’s innovation-driven development strategy, and determined three strategic objectives of scientific and technological innovation, including building a scientific and technological innovation platform with profound impact, absorbing and fostering scientific and technological talents both at home and overseas, and incubating and cultivating a number of competitive technology start-ups. Department of Science and Technology Development has been set up along withScience and Technology Innovation Committee to optimize the innovation mechanisms and systems. CHINA RESOURCES RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY COMPANY LIMITED, aiming at becoming the Group’s main research platform, has been transferred to CRE and research centers in multiple disciplines have been established.

CR Enterprise has actively set up a scientific and technological innovation network in Hong Kong and established cooperative partnerships with local universities and research institutions. Up to now, CR Enterprise has signed a cooperation framework with the Chinese University of Hong Kong, focusing on regenerative medicine and renewable energy development. A joint venture with the City University of Hong Kong has been founded to jointly invest and incubate promising technology start-ups in Hong Kong.CR Enterprise has also signed a memorandum of strategic cooperation with Hong Kong Science and Technology Park Corporation to provide all-round industrial supports to technology start-ups and catalyze the process from technologies to products by investing in the construction of key facilities. Furthermore, CR Enterprise has signed a Memorandum of cooperation with Hong Kong Baptist University to establish a joint laboratory in the field of smart Chinese Medicine.
